More clarifications have been put forth debunking the rumours alleging that the confirmed cases of COVID 19 in Enugu State were the minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama and his Personal Assistant.
A statement signed by the Media Aide to the minister, Sarah Sanda argued that the minister had been in Abuja and wondered how he could have been a case in Enugu even if infected by the disease. The statement added that the minister was one of the members of the Presidential Taskforce on the pandemic who were all tested and returned negative.
The statement further insisted that the attention of the law enforcement agents had been drawn to the malicious reports on some social and print for proper investigation and consequent sanctions to serve as a deterrence against such act.
