Fraudsters Hack Gov. Ugwuanyi’s Cellphone Line,Send Fake Messages
Enugu State Government has notified the general public that the MTN CellPhone Line of His Excellency, the Governor of Enugu State was hacked by unknown fraudsters on Thursday, and has been used to call members of the public including Government Officials.
The honourable commissioner for Information of the state, Nnanyelugo Chidi in a media release, informed members of the public of the unfortunate incident and urged them to disregard any call or message emanating from the said Phone Line.
Aroh said that the Security Agencies and the Telecom Service Providers had been duly briefed a
nd are working round the clock to apprehend the culprits.
The commissioner lamented that “we most sincerely regret any embarrassment or inconvenience that these fraudsters may have caused unsuspecting members of the public”.
