Enugu Govt Delivers Vehicular Tools To M.O.T, Buses To IPAC, Nsukka

Enugu state government has once more risen to rejig the enforcement
apparatus of the state ministry of transport, M.O.T, with its hand over
of various vehicular tools, including towing vans and power bikes to the
ministry.
At the separate events presided over by the deputy governor, Cecilia
Ezeilo on behalf of the governor, the state government also donated a
brand new bus each, to the state chapter of Inter Party Advisory
Council, IPAC and Nsukka Zonal Amalgamated Traders Association,
NZATA.
While the state government`s delivery of the articulated vehicle and
pickup towing vans, as well as five power bikes marked a show of
government`s appreciation of the M.O.T`s service delivery, it was also
an opportunity for the ministry to mark the three year`s of the
enforcement team`s inauguration after a certified three-month training
in 2017.
The Deputy Governor, Cecilia Ezeilo while performing the function,
acknowledged that the government`s investment in the transport
ministry through the establishment of the enforcement bureau, had
yielded the desired result and motivated the government to do more in
that sector.
Ezeilo admonished the M.O.T to ensure strict enforcement of the traffic
laws within the mandate of their work, but with the utmost civility in
relating with road users.
Earlier in a remark, the state commissioner for transport, Mathias
Ekweremadu who recounted the progressive activities of the ministry,expressed satisfaction with the enforcement conduct of the Traffic
Bureau which had justified its establishment three years ago.
Ekweremadu gave assurance that the ministry would continue to work
towards achieving the sectoral demands of the transport system in the
state.
Meanwhile, leaders of the respective group recipients of the bus
donations, IPAC and NZATA, commended Governor Ugwuanyi for his
show of interest in the private sector and bi-partisan approach to
governance.
Also present to witness the events were, the Secretary to the State
Government, Professor Simon Ortuanya, Permanent Secretary, Ministry
of Transport, Ogbonna Idike, as well as other government officials of
relevance to the fucntions.
