3 Feared Dead, DSS Men Missing In Enugu IPOB Clash
About three persons are rumoured dead and some members of the Department of State Service, DSS, feared missing following a clash with members of Indigenous People of Biafa, IPOB.
The clash which reportedly started between men of the DSS and IPOB members who were holding a meeting in Emene, Enugu, lasted for several hours as the police and army personnel were mobilized to give backup to the DSS on the ground.
Our search revealed that men of the DSS had gone to Emene to stop an IPOB meeting when the fight ensued.
As the clash lasted the police and army were deployed to help salvage the situation.
An undisclosed number of men of the DSS are rumoured to have gone missing while about three persons are also rumoured to have been killed.
Meanwhile, some of the IPOB members are said to be in police net in the course of the clash.
Efforts to reach the Enugu Police Public Relations Officer failed as he did not
pick several calls put across to him.
