2023: Group Advocates Increased Youth Registration For PVC

Initiative for a Better and Brighter Nigeria (IBBN), a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) has encouraged the youth to do everything possible to get their Permanent Voters Cards before the 2023 general elections.

The Enugu State Coordinator of the organisation, Mr PraiseGod Edeh, made the call in Enugu on Tuesday during a sensitization of Youths in Enugu South Local Government.

Edeh said the call had become necessary following the deteriorating political situation in the country.

He said the only way to elect credible candidates and entrench good governance in Enugu State and Nigeria at large was by participating actively in politics and registering for the PVC.

He lamented that the political situation in the country had worsened since the return of democracy in 1999.

He asked those yet to register in the ongoing voter’s registration or collect their PVCs to do so to enable them participate in the 2023 general elections.

Edeh pointed out that being eligible to vote in the election would ensure they elected credible candidates, who would occupy political offices and correct the ills going on in the country.

The State Coordinator hinted that Nigerians needed new breed of politicians without greed, which was the objective of the group.

He asked those having difficulties in their Voter’s card registration or PVCs collection to contact IBBN Enugu State office on 07031642553 or 08032461858 for possible assistance.
