Police Rot: Enugu CP Orders Investigation Into Alleged Police Misconduct 
Following the social media reports alleging the unprofessional conduct of some police officers in Nsukka town, the Enugu state Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu has ordered the Deputy Commissioner in-charge of the State CID Enugu, to immediately commence a meticulous investigation that will lead to appropriate disciplinary sanctions against any of the police officers found wanting.

According to a release signed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, CP Uzuegbu while calling for calm, urged victims of the acts of police misconduct to come forward and volunteer evidence that could aid the timely conclusion of the investigation and further police disciplinary actions.
The CP reaffirmed his unwavering stance against unethical conduct by the police and reassured the maximum protection of the rights of citizens in accordance with existing laws.
He further, enjoined the people to support the Police Reform Agenda by remaining law-abiding and promptly reporting acts of police misconduct in the State for necessary disciplinary actions.
