Enugu Administrator Lauds Gov. Mbah’s UK Lecture, Wishes Happy Birthday
Administrator, Ugwunye/Ezedike Development Area, Chief Joe Anieze says the UK lecture recently delivered by Enugu state governor, Dr Peter Mbah is a further testament to the fact of the global best practices of his economic policies in the state.
Chief Anieze made the observation over the weekend while commenting on the content of the lecture at the London School of Economics which according to him has further attracted global attention to the development activities in the state.
Governor Mbah in the lecture reiterated the commitment of his government to achieving the economic height that could place the state in the global map as one of the best.
Delivering a lecture titled: “Enugu state, Nigeria,new political leadership,bold economic vision,a spotlight on the health and education strategies at the london school of economics in the United kingdom,Dr Mbah took the audience through the various issues and programmes the government was handling in its drive to move the state from a 4 billion to 30 billion dollars economy over the next four to eight years.
The govenor talked about the smart schools program which entails a new paradigm in learning for the twenty first century and insisted that the youth with the help of those support structures would be better prepared to face the challenges of now and the new world.
He also talked about various health schemes including the health insurance initiative which the state would key into.
The grassroots administrator viewed the boldness in the governor’s delivery as a mark of plainness and sincerity in his police formulation.
“He indeed told the world what we practically witness here in Enugu, no addition, no substraction”, Anieze said.
While wishing the governor a happy birthday, the administrator noted “the development foundation being built in the state will take the people far away from the poverty bedeviling the entire nation today”.
