Enugu Electoral Body Extends Deadline For Party Primaries
The Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) has announced an extension of the deadline for Political Party Primary Elections.
The Political Party Primary Elections is now extended from August 12 to August 19, 2024.
A release from the state electoral umpire said “ENSIEC deemed it necessary to extend the deadline for Political Party Primary Elections in order to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive electoral process.
“This extension will also provide political parties with additional time to conduct their primaries in a manner that guarantees the full participation of all party members”.
“We understand the importance of timely electoral activities and assure the public that this extension is made in the best interest of free, fair, and credible elections in Enugu State”, the release added.
ENSIEC according to the release,urged all political parties and stakeholders to utilise the extension effectively and adhere to the new deadline.
