Enugu Transformation: Lagos Traditional Ruler Lauds Mbah For Setting Pace Of Development
Enugu State has been receiving widespread acclaim for the significant strides made under the leadership of Governor Peter Mbah.
In his comments, the Chairman of the Council of Ndieze in Lagos State and Eze Ndigbo of Ibeju-Lekki, Eze Chris Offiah expressed his admiration for the governor’s recent initiatives aimed at transforming the state’s infrastructure and overall socioeconomic development of the state.
Eze Chris Offiah who is a former traditional prime minister (Onowu) of Egede ancient kingdom in Udi local government area of Enugu state, commended Governor Mbah for the inauguration of five new bus terminals that promise to enhance public transportation within the state. He added that the rollout of 100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses by the governor is set to provide residents with a cleaner and more efficient mode of transport, aligning with modern environmental standards.
“This initiative is a commendable step towards creating a sustainable transportation system that benefits all citizens,” Eze Offiah noted during a recent gathering.
The reconstruction of the Presidential Hotel, a vital project aimed at boosting tourism and hospitality in Enugu State, was also highlighted by Eze Offiah.
He stated that the revitalisation of such key facilities would not only attract visitors but also create jobs and stimulate the local economy.
“The efforts to restore and modernise this landmark are commendable and will certainly put Enugu on the map as a favourable tourist destination,” he added.
He further descrbed the unveiling of Niger Gas Limited as a significant move towards ensuring energy security in the region. Eze Offiah emphasised that access to reliable energy sources is crucial for driving economic growth and development.
“With the establishment of Niger Gas Limited, Governor Mbah is taking vital steps in ensuring that Enugu State is not only self-sufficient in energy but also attractive for investors,” he remarked.
The traditional ruler urged other regions to follow Enugu’s lead in developing infrastructure that foster economic growth and improve the quality of life for residents and reiterated his acknowledgement of Governor Mbah’s proactive approach to governance and development, further solidifying his reputation as a leader dedicated to the upliftment of Enugu State.
As the state continues to make headlines for its progressive initiatives, the collective support from leaders like Eze Chris Offiah underscores the importance of collaboration in advancing the socio-economic landscape of Nigeria.
