Enugu Yuletide: Uramah Distributes Rice to Finance Ministry Staff, Hails Commitment to Service

The Enugu State Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Nathaniel Uramah, has distributed bags of rice to staff of the ministry in appreciation of their dedication, loyalty and commitment to duty.

Speaking during the presentation, Uramah described the gesture as a token of gratitude for what he termed the “service fidelity” of the staff, noting that their collective commitment has continued to support the effective delivery of the ministry’s mandate. He said the welfare of workers remains a priority, stressing that motivated staff are critical to achieving the economic and developmental objectives of the state government.

The commissioner also commended the Permanent Secretary of the ministry for what he described as responsible and effective coordination of staff activities, which, according to him, has contributed significantly to improved productivity and administrative harmony within the ministry.

Uramah urged the staff to sustain their dedication to duty and continue to align with the reform-driven governance style of the present administration, anchored on transparency, efficiency and results-oriented public service.

Responding on behalf of the staff, the Director of Administration and Supply, Vivienne Onah, expressed profound gratitude to the commissioner for what she described as his selfless leadership and consistent support for workers’ welfare. She said the gesture would further inspire staff to put in their best and remain committed to the goals of the ministry and the state at large.

Onah noted that the commissioner’s approach to leadership has helped mobilise staff towards increased productivity, teamwork and professionalism, adding that such encouragement reinforces a positive work culture.

The staff, in their collective remarks, applauded the commissioner for the gesture, describing it as reflective of the people-oriented governance style of the Enugu State Governor, Dr Peter Mbah. They noted that the administration’s emphasis on staff motivation and welfare has continued to translate into renewed commitment across ministries, departments and agencies.

They reaffirmed their support for the state government’s development agenda and pledged to sustain high standards of service delivery in line with the administration’s vision for economic growth and institutional efficiency.
