ENSUBEB Announces Vacancies for Vendors at 260 Smart Schools

The Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB) has invited applications from suitably qualified and experienced vendors to provide key support services across Smart Green Schools located in the 260 political wards of the state.

In a public notice signed by ENSUBEB Executive Chairman, Associate Professor Hyginus Banko Okibe, the vacancies are for School Feeding Vendors and Cleaning Service Vendors, as part of efforts to strengthen service delivery and enhance learning conditions in basic education institutions across Enugu State.

According to the notice, School Feeding Vendors will be responsible for the provision of feeding services in Smart Green Schools across all political wards, while Cleaning Service Vendors will handle cleaning and sanitation services within the same schools.

Applicants for both categories are expected to possess relevant experience in similar services and demonstrate the capacity to operate effectively within their assigned political wards. Compliance with ENSUBEB guidelines is mandatory.

Importantly, applicants must be indigenes of, and residents in, the political ward where the Smart School they intend to serve is located. ENSUBEB also emphasized that only one application per vendor is allowed, warning that multiple submissions will attract outright disqualification.

For School Feeding Vendors, additional requirements include proven experience in school feeding or catering services, medical fitness clearance for all food-handling staff, and the capacity to provide safe, hygienic and nutritious meals.

Interested vendors are to address their applications to the Executive Chairman of the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board and submit them directly to the Board’s headquarters or forward same via email to ensubebofficial@outlook.com on or before January 30.

ENSUBEB noted that late submissions will not be entertained and that only shortlisted applicants will be invited for interview.

The interview for successful shortlisted vendors has been scheduled for Thursday, February 5, 2026, by 10:00 a.m. prompt, at the ENSUBEB Headquarters, Enugu.
