Mbah Equips Forest Guard to Boost All-Season Security Operations
The Enugu State Government, led by Governor Peter Mbah, has taken a decisive step to strengthen security across the state with the procurement and distribution of rain capes and boots to personnel of the State Forest Guard.
The equipment, delivered through the Office of the Commander, Forest Guard, is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted security operations in forested and rural areas as the state approaches the peak of the rainy season.
Security analysts have observed that criminal elements often take advantage of harsh weather conditions to evade surveillance and perpetrate attacks. However, the state government’s latest intervention is expected to neutralise such tactics by enhancing the operational capacity of security personnel.
With the new gear, members of the Forest Guard are now better positioned to sustain bush-combing exercises, deep forest patrols, and night surveillance regardless of weather conditions.
The initiative underscores Governor Mbah’s proactive approach to security, with a strong emphasis on operational efficiency, personnel welfare, and effective control of all terrains within the state.
