Nwebonyi at 45: Friends, Aides Hail Deputy Chief Whip’s Leadership, Service

Friends, political associates and legislative aides of the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate and Senator representing Ebonyi North Senatorial District, Senator Peter Onyekachi Nwebonyi, on Saturday gathered at his Abakaliki residence to celebrate his 45th birthday in a colourful ceremony marked by goodwill, tributes and prayers.
The event attracted party leaders, supporters and political stakeholders, who applauded the Senator’s leadership, legislative achievements and commitment to the development of Ebonyi North Senatorial District.
Chairman of the occasion and Member I of the Ebonyi State Civil Service Commission, Chief Chris Uchaji, described Senator Nwebonyi as a distinguished public servant whose dedication to quality representation and effective lawmaking has earned him widespread respect.
According to Uchaji, the celebration was not merely to mark the Senator’s birthday but to acknowledge his remarkable contributions to the lives of his constituents and his unwavering commitment to public service.
He prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, sound health and greater accomplishments for the lawmaker, while calling on the people of Ebonyi North Senatorial District to support his re-election in 2027 to enable him consolidate on the developmental strides and legislative milestones recorded during his first term.
In separate goodwill messages, the Coordinator of Mbeke Development Centre, Hon. Franklin Nwugwu; APC Zonal Chairman for Ebonyi North, Hon. John Nwankata; APC Chairman of Ebonyi Local Government Area, Hon. Patrick Orogbo; Chief of Staff to the Senator, Barr. Nnaemeka Nwambam; Director-General of Senator Nwebonyi Support Groups, Hon. Friday Nwigube; Legislative Assistant, Hon. Chamberlain Uchaji; and National Coordinator of Ohamadike Global Youth Network, Ugochukwu Iteshi, commended Senator Nwebonyi’s visionary leadership, humility and commitment to the welfare of the people.
They described him as a compassionate and result-driven leader whose performance in the Senate has inspired confidence among his constituents, expressing optimism that his record of achievements has positioned him strongly for another successful outing in the 2027 general elections.
The celebration featured moments of merriment, exchange of goodwill and the presentation of a specially customised framed portrait to Senator Nwebonyi by his legislative aides in appreciation of his exemplary leadership and mentorship.
Special prayers were also offered for his continued good health, greater accomplishments and sustained success in his service to Ebonyi North Senatorial District and the nation.
