state.

Police operatives attached to the Commissioner of Police Monitoring Unit (CMU) and the Crack Tactical Squad, in the early hours of December 12, 2025, swiftly responded to a distress report of an alleged armed robbery and vehicle snatching along Aria Road, Enugu. Acting on real-time intelligence relayed through the Command’s Control Room, the operatives pursued the suspects, forcing them to abandon a Toyota Camry 2.4-litre vehicle before escaping into a nearby forest.

The stolen vehicle was promptly recovered, while a manhunt has been launched to apprehend the fleeing suspects.

In a related operation, operatives of the Command’s Crack Tactical Squad, working in collaboration with personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), arrested a male suspect on December 11, 2025, at about 3:30 p.m. An ash-coloured Toyota Camry 2.4-litre vehicle was recovered from the suspect during the operation.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen in July 2025 from where it was parked in Kubwa, Abuja. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and subsequently confirmed ownership. The suspect, whose identity was not disclosed, along with the recovered vehicle, has been transferred to the Force Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Abuja, for further investigation and possible prosecution.
