Children Are Society’s Greatest Treasure, Future Leaders – Ikeje Asogwa
The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for the June 20 Senatorial By-election and the 2027 General Elections in Enugu North Senatorial Zone, Ikeje Asogwa, has felicitated children on the occasion of the 2026 Children’s Day celebration, describing them as humanity’s greatest gift and the foundation upon which the future of society rests.
Asogwa, in a statement issued by his Director of Media Strategy and Communication, Samson Ezea, urged children to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to good morals, noting that they embody the hope of a brighter and more prosperous future.
The APC senatorial hopeful called on parents, guardians, teachers, and community leaders to continue investing in the education, welfare, and moral upbringing of children, stressing that no society can attain meaningful development without properly nurturing its younger generation.
He assured that, if elected into the Senate, he would champion policies and programmes targeted at improving access to quality education, leadership development, skills acquisition, and youth empowerment initiatives aimed at helping children and young people unlock and maximise their potentials.
According to him, every child in Enugu North Senatorial Zone deserves equal opportunities to dream, grow, and succeed irrespective of social or economic background.
“As we celebrate our children today, we must remember that the future of our society depends largely on the quality of care, guidance, and opportunities we provide for them. Together, we must raise a generation that is educated, responsible, innovative, and prepared to lead society to greater heights,” he stated.
Asogwa further wished children across Enugu North Senatorial Zone a memorable Children’s Day celebration filled with joy, hope, and renewed confidence in a brighter future.
