Eyewitness Network, Tinubu Support Group Forge Alliance, Intensify Mobilisation for Tinubu’s Re-election in 2027
The National Executive of the Eyewitness Network (EWN) and the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) have reaffirmed their commitment to promoting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, with both organisations pledging to intensify nationwide mobilisation in support of the President’s administration and his re-election bid in 2027.
The commitment was made on Wednesday when the National Executive of Eyewitness Network, led by its National Director, EXlibris Christopher Ekefre, paid a courtesy visit to the Director-General of the Tinubu Support Group, Umar Tanko Yakasai, at his office in Abuja.
Speaking during the meeting, Dr Yakasai commended the Eyewitness Network for what he described as its vision, patriotism and commitment to national development, noting that many of the views expressed by the organisation aligned with the ideals and objectives of the Tinubu Support Group.
He observed that transformative leaders are often misunderstood during periods of reforms and change, adding that the impact of courageous leadership is sometimes only appreciated years after critical decisions have been implemented.
According to him, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated uncommon courage and commitment through policies and decisions designed to secure Nigeria’s long-term prosperity and sustainable development.
Dr Yakasai further urged Nigerians to remain steadfast and dedicated in their various endeavours, stressing that collective commitment and patriotism are essential ingredients for national progress.
The TSG Director-General also lauded Eyewitness Network’s efforts in promoting national discourse through publications and civic engagements without financial inducement, describing the initiative as a rare demonstration of genuine patriotism and selfless service to the nation.
He assured the delegation of his willingness to collaborate with the Network and pledged his full support towards achieving their shared objectives.
The TSG boss also charged members of the Eyewitness Network Executive to immediately step up efforts at canvassing support for President Tinubu’s administration at all levels, maintaining that continuity in governance guarantees national stability, sustainable development, accelerated economic growth and enduring progress.
Earlier in his remarks, the National Director of Eyewitness Network, EXlibris Christopher Ekefre, reaffirmed the organisation’s unwavering support for President Tinubu and pledged to deepen grassroots mobilisation in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He disclosed that the Network has established structures across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory and remains committed to enlightening Nigerians, countering misinformation with facts, promoting national unity and supporting policies capable of strengthening the country’s development trajectory.
Ekefre also pledged that Eyewitness Network would mobilise support for President Tinubu’s second-term aspiration across the country and further promised to support the Tinubu Support Group’s weekly Friday activities by providing refreshments as part of the growing partnership between the two organisations.
The meeting ended on a note of optimism, with both organisations expressing confidence that closer collaboration would further strengthen support for the Renewed Hope Agenda and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s peace, unity and national development.
The visit was attended by members of the National Executive and Abuja Executive of the Eyewitness Network, as well as members of the management team of the Tinubu Support Group.
