Ibadan Pupils’ Rescue: Tinubu Support Group Hails President’s Compassionate Leadership, Security Reforms
The Tinubu Support Group (TSG) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the successful rescue of the abducted school pupils and teachers in Ibadan, Oyo State, describing the development as a clear demonstration of his compassionate leadership and unwavering commitment to national security.
In a statement issued by its Director-General, Dr. Umar Tanko Yakasai, the group said the rescue operation further underscores the Tinubu administration’s determination to protect lives and property through intelligence-driven security strategies and enhanced collaboration among the nation’s security agencies.
According to the group, the successful rescue is another remarkable milestone in the Federal Government’s ongoing efforts to combat kidnapping, banditry and other forms of violent crimes across the country.
TSG noted that under President Tinubu’s leadership, several victims of abduction and related crimes in different parts of Nigeria have been safely reunited with their families through coordinated operations involving the Armed Forces, intelligence community, the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies.
The group maintained that the latest rescue operation reinforces public confidence in the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly its resolve to ensure that criminal elements have no hiding place within Nigeria’s territorial boundaries.
“President Tinubu has consistently demonstrated uncommon empathy and compassion for Nigerians who have suffered the pain and trauma caused by insecurity. His expressions of solidarity with victims and bereaved families, as well as his commitment to justice for affected communities, reflect the character of a leader who governs with both courage and humanity,” the statement said.
The support group also lauded members of the Armed Forces, security and intelligence agencies for their professionalism, patriotism and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, kidnapping, banditry and other criminal activities.
It stated that the commitment and resilience of the security personnel remain critical to the restoration of peace, stability and public confidence in the country’s security architecture.
Reaffirming its confidence in the President’s leadership, the group expressed optimism that ongoing security reforms, strategic investments in intelligence gathering and defence capabilities, and the sustained implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda would ultimately make Nigeria safer, stronger and more prosperous.
The organisation further urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in supporting the Federal Government and the nation’s security institutions in their collective efforts to build a peaceful, secure and united country.
The rescue of the Ibadan school pupils and teachers has continued to attract commendations from various stakeholders, with many describing it as a significant boost to the nation’s fight against insecurity and a reassuring indication that the government remains committed to safeguarding the lives of its citizens.
