BREAKING NEWS: Senator Ikeje Asogwa Redeems ₦10 Million Pre-Senatorial By-Election Cash Pledge To Nsukka And Uzo-Uwani LGAs
Senator Ikeje Asogwa has fulfilled his pre-senatorial by-election campaign promise by redeeming the ₦10 million cash pledge he made to reward outstanding electoral performance during the recently concluded Enugu North Senatorial by-election, which he won resoundingly.
The pledge, which comprised ₦5 million each was given to Nsukka Local Government Area and Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area, following their exceptional performance at the polls.
According to the Director of Media, Publicity and Communication, Hon. Samson Ezea, the funds have been released to the Chairmen of the two victorious local government areas for onward disbursement in line with the purpose of the pledge.
Senator Asogwa congratulated the people and leadership of Nsukka and Uzo-Uwani on their remarkable commitment, dedication, and overwhelming support, which culminated in their impressive electoral performance. He urged them not to relent, but to sustain the momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, while continuing to support the APC-led administration at both the local, state and federal levels.
The Senator reaffirmed that he is a leader who keeps his promises, noting that the fulfillment of the ₦10 million pledge reflects his commitment to integrity, accountability, and rewarding loyalty and hard work.
He assured the people of Enugu North Senatorial Zone that this is only the beginning of greater dividends of democracy, as he remains resolute in delivering purposeful representation, inclusive development, and sustainable progress across the district.
