Senator Asogwa Meets TETFund Boss, Seeks Update on 2026 Intervention Projects in Enugu North

Senator Ikeje Israel Asogwa has met with the Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Arc. Sonny Echono, to assess the progress of the agency’s 2026 intervention projects and programmes in tertiary institutions across Enugu North Senatorial District.

The meeting, held at the TETFund headquarters, centred on the implementation status of various intervention projects aimed at strengthening infrastructure, improving teaching and learning facilities, and enhancing the quality of tertiary education within the district.

Among the institutions discussed were the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS), the Federal Polytechnic, Ohodo, as well as other beneficiary tertiary institutions in Enugu North.

Senator Asogwa emphasised the importance of ensuring the timely execution of all approved intervention projects, stressing that quality educational infrastructure remains critical to producing globally competitive graduates and advancing national development.

The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining close collaboration with TETFund and other relevant agencies to ensure that institutions in the senatorial district fully benefit from available intervention programmes.

The engagement, observers noted, reflects Senator Asogwa’s continued efforts to facilitate improved educational facilities and create a more conducive learning environment for students and academic staff across Enugu North Senatorial District.
