Balami Backs Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election Bid, Urges Nigerians to Support APC By Saviour Ekpe

He particularly commended EWN for documenting and chronicling the activities and achievements of the Tinubu administration in books, describing the initiative as a significant contribution to preserving records of the administration for posterity. The aviation expert also praised the Network for its commitment to supporting the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027 through lawful and legitimate means. Balami said he was prepared to deploy everything within his capacity towards ensuring the success of President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, citing what he described as the administration's notable achievements across the country as well as its foreign policy initiatives. According to him, the President's foreign policy has projected Nigeria more prominently on the global stage. He said: “President Tinubu is doing his best for the country at this time and deserves the support of Nigerians.”

Balami consequently appealed to Nigerians to support President Tinubu and the APC for victory in the 2027 general elections. He further expressed appreciation to the Eyewitness Network for the recognition accorded him, assuring the delegation of his readiness to sustain a fruitful relationship with the organisation. Earlier, Ekefre commended Balami for what he described as an inspiring life journey, noting that his rise from humble beginnings in Borno State to becoming an accomplished aircraft maintenance engineer, entrepreneur and pioneer in aeronautics education demonstrated determination, resilience and vision. The EWN National Director also highlighted Balami's contribution to aviation education, particularly the establishment of what he described as Africa's first private aeronautics university, saying the institution had opened new opportunities for the training and development of future aviation professionals. Ekefre stressed that the mission of the Eyewitness Network extends beyond political mobilisation, noting that the organisation is committed to promoting good leadership, development and national unity.

He said the Network was also building a national structure that would remain relevant to Nigeria's development beyond the 2027 elections. As part of the visit, Ekefre presented Balami with a Life Patronship Award, following a unanimous resolution of the Network's General Executive Meeting in August. The award, according to EWN, was in recognition of Balami's achievements and contributions to aviation, education and national development.
