. NoEyewitness Network Inaugurates 25-Member Bayelsa Executive Council
…tasks new executives on grassroots mobilisation, Tinubu re-election
The Eyewitness Network has inaugurated a 25-member Bayelsa State Executive Council as part of efforts to strengthen the organisation’s structures and activities across the state.
The inauguration was performed by the National Director of the Network, Exlibris Christopher Ekefre, who was represented by the National Secretary, Saviour Ekpe, Ph.D.
The ceremony was witnessed by the Akwa Ibom State Director, Comrade Josephine Ekpa, some Local Government Directors and other members of the Network.
Addressing the newly inaugurated executives, Ekpe charged them to remain active, committed and focused in the discharge of their responsibilities, stressing the need for them to work collectively towards achieving the aims and objectives of the organisation.
He particularly urged the Bayelsa State executives to strengthen the Network’s grassroots presence, mobilise members and engage citizens across the state in furtherance of its stated objective of supporting the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
The inauguration featured the administration of the oath of office by the National Secretary, followed by the formal inauguration of the State Executive Council and presentation of appointment letters to the newly appointed officers.
Ekpe congratulated the new executives and urged them to demonstrate discipline, commitment, teamwork and active participation in advancing the activities of the Network in Bayelsa State.
The State Executive Council is headed by Hon. Celina Nengi Agama as State Director, with responsibility for coordinating the activities of the council and ensuring effective collaboration with the Local Government structures.
In her acceptance speech, Agama expressed appreciation to the National Executive of the Eyewitness Network for finding Bayelsa worthy to host the commencement of the state inauguration exercise.
She commended the activities of the organisation and formally accepted the appointment on behalf of the newly inaugurated executive council.
Agama assured the National Executive that the Bayelsa team would work assiduously towards advancing the objectives of the Network, adding that every member of the council would be expected to discharge their responsibilities diligently and contribute to the success of the organisation.
