Anambra people have solution to their problems under Soludo-Oyi Council boss
…Says November 8 is a done deal

The chairman of Oyi local government area, Dr Emma Nweke says the administration of Governor Charles Soludo has shown the people of the state that power actually belongs to them. In an exclusive interview with newsmen, Dr Nweke observed that security and welfare of the people which are the paramount responsibilities of government have improved exponentially since the past three years of the current administration in the state.
He noted that the governor had demonstrated his people-oriented direction by taking development to the remotest areas of the state.
“720 network of roads awarded, 460 completed and asphalted, other far to reach areas like Ebenebe, Ugbenu,Ugbene,Amansea, Awba Ofemmili now have roads done by this government”, Dr Nweke explained.
In the area of human capital development, the council boss recalled that 8,115 teachers were employed within the period of the administration so far.
He further observed that presently the issue of insecurity is fast being dragged to its last point with the security policies and programmes put in place by Governor Soludo.
“Before now there were recurring cases of insecurity, kidnapping and the rest of them and I told people that look, the governor, the man I know will tackle these issues head-on and when he came up with ‘ Operation Udo Ga-Achi,Agunechibe, it became clear the issue of insecurity, kidnapping has reduced.
“The so called Okite,Ezenwanyi and the rest of them, you see the governor does not say there’s nothing like tradition, he recognises tradition, our people have native doctors who have different specialties as it were, but the problem is that these days people are being deceived. You see a lot of our young men languishing in jail abroad because they were deceived into believing that they can commit crimes without being caught and it has failed a lot of them who now have to face the law”, he said.
He opined that if the governor had not initiated the clampdown on the perpetrators of the crimes associated with the spiritual tricks, the state could in the next few years, be in a situation where human parts could be displayed at shops for sale.
On the forthcoming governorship election in the state, Dr Nweke expressed hope that the ruling party, All Progressives Grand Alliance,APGA would not have much challenge with the political goodwill already achieved by the governor,noting that “the people know who they are voting for and will not be deceived with the amount of money shared”.
“I have no doubt in my mind that come November 8, Governor Chukwuma Soludo will win, Anambra people will vote for him massively to continue the good governance they have been enjoying because nobody can torchlight daylight”, the council boss emphasized.
The Oyi Council boss said he had continued to extend the state governor’s leadership style to his area, by initiating programmes and policies targeted at the welfare of the people.
“We’re doing a lot of work for our people, operation build the roads, operation light up the streets, operation honorarium to first class graduates of Oyi origin and other infrastructural benefits to the people “, Dr Nweke highlighted.
The Oyi local government chairman, in the line of Easter celebration, admonished the people of the area to seek the face of God and embrace love for one another as epitomized by Jesus Christ who sacrificed himself for the redemption and salvation of mankind.
