Enugu North By-Election: APC Chieftain Prince-Henry Hart Hails Voters, Congratulates Senator-Elect on Victory
An APC chieftain from Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area, Sir Engr Ucheonwu Prince-Henry Hart, has congratulated the Senator-elect for Enugu North Senatorial District on his victory in the just-concluded senatorial by-election, describing the outcome as a clear expression of the people’s democratic will and confidence.
Prince-Henry Hart, a former aspirant for the Igboetiti/Uzo-Uwani Federal Constituency seat, also expressed profound appreciation to the electorate across the senatorial district, particularly the people of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area and his home ward, Igga-Asaba Ward, for their massive participation and unwavering commitment to the democratic process.
In a solidarity and felicitation message made available to journalists, the APC stalwart said the overwhelming support demonstrated by the people during the election reflected their desire for purposeful representation and responsive leadership.
According to him, the peaceful conduct of the electorate and their confidence as expressed through the ballot remain a strong indication that democracy continues to thrive when citizens actively participate in determining their political future.
“I heartily congratulate our Senator-elect, Chief Ikeje Asogwa on this well-deserved victory. The mandate freely given by the people is a sacred trust that calls for humility, dedication and selfless service to the entire Enugu North Senatorial District,” he said.
Prince-Henry Hart specifically thanked the people of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area for their steadfastness and loyalty throughout the electoral process, noting that their support further demonstrated the area’s enduring commitment to democratic ideals.
He reserved special appreciation for the people of Igga-Asaba Ward for casting over ninety percent votes in favour of APC in the bye-election, describing their show of solidarity and confidence as both encouraging and inspiring.
“I sincerely appreciate the good people of Enugu North Senatorial District, especially my brothers and sisters in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area and the resilient people of Igga-Asaba Ward, for their remarkable expressions of confidence at the polls. Your faith in the democratic process and your peaceful conduct deserve commendation,” he stated.
The former federal constituency aspirant urged the Senator-elect to embrace inclusive leadership by carrying every community along, irrespective of political affiliation, stressing that elections should ultimately unite rather than divide the people.
He called on residents of the senatorial district to remain peaceful, law-abiding and supportive of efforts aimed at accelerating development across the six local government areas that make up Enugu North Senatorial District.
Prince-Henry Hart further appealed to political actors to place the collective interest of the people above partisan considerations, emphasizing that sustainable development can only be achieved through unity, collaboration and responsible leadership.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the progress of Enugu North and pledged to continue supporting initiatives that promote good governance, people-oriented development and the welfare of the electorate.
The APC chieftain further prayed for wisdom and divine guidance for the Senator-elect as he prepares to undertake the responsibility of representing the people at the National Assembly, expressing optimism that the mandate would translate into tangible dividends of democracy for the entire senatorial district.
