UDI LG BOSS offers Solaceto 68-year old Rape Victim
The Chairman of Udi LGA, Hon. Pascal Ifeanyi Agu has visited the 68 year–old woman who was raped by a Fulani herder in the area.
He expressed shock over the ugly incident and sympathised with the victim, promising that he will do everything within his powers to see that the rapist is punished according to the law.
He furthered said that his administration was working round the clock with the various security and vigilante groups to checkmate such incident
from happening again.
When informed that the woman has been discharged from the hospital, the local government boss in demonstration of his humane approach, decided to take up payment of the hospital bills. He also gave automatic employment to one of the victim’s daughters in Udi LG.
The woman (victim) and her children who couldn’t hide their tears thanked Hon. Agu. They prayed God to bless his and wished him a successful stay in office.
The Chairman was accompanied by some health professionals and his aides including the SPA on Gender Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Bibian Aniekwe, who is also the Director-General, Enugu Di N’aka Chukwu group.
