Enugu North Senatorial Zone stands at a critical juncture in its political history, a moment that calls not just for representation, but for visionary leadership, compassion, and purposeful service. As the zone prepares for a by-election following the sudden demise of Senator Okey Ezea (may his soul, and those of all the faithful departed, continue to rest in peace), the need for a worthy successor has become both urgent and significant.
Since the creation of Enugu North Senatorial Zone, it has been represented by distinguished Senators at the Red Chambers of the National Assembly. Each, in their own way, contributed to the growth and representation of the zone.
Ahead of the forthcoming by-election, many aspirants have indicated interest in filling the vacant seat. Prominent among them is Ikeje Asogwa. Without doubt, Ikeje has, over time, carved a niche for himself across various spheres of life. Popularly known as Ide by admirers and associates, he is widely regarded as a bridge builder between different social classes, not only within Enugu State and Enugu North Senatorial Zone but beyond.
Considering his outstanding track record in philanthropy, simplicity, accessibility, kindness, and humanity, he stands out as a fitting candidate for the position at this time. He is truly a man of the people and a builder of men.
