Gov. Mbah Commissions Electrification Project, Ultra-Modern Secretariat In Isi-Uzo, Reaffirms Commitment To Grassroots Development
Enugu State Governor, Dr Peter Mbah, represented by his Deputy, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to equitable development across the state, assuring residents that no community will be left without access to essential public infrastructure and basic amenities.
The Governor gave the assurance at the commissioning of an electrification project and the newly constructed Isi-Uzo Ultra-Modern Local Government Secretariat in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area.
Ossai said the projects were tangible expressions of the Mbah administration’s determination to deliver on its promises and improve the quality of life of residents across the state.
He commended the people of Emeora-Ndiagu Neke community for their commitment to community development, while also applauding stakeholders in Isi-Uzo for sustaining the unity, cooperation and collective responsibility necessary for development.
According to him, the administration came into office with a clear determination to make Enugu State better than it met it, noting that the electrification project and other ongoing interventions across the state demonstrate the government’s commitment to translating its development agenda into visible outcomes.
“We are working very hard to ensure that there are no basic amenities lacking in any community in our state. We will do all we can to ensure that every resident of Enugu State enjoys basic amenities,” he said.
The Deputy Governor stressed that the provision of electricity remained central to economic growth, enterprise development and improved living standards, assuring that the government would continue to extend electricity infrastructure to communities across Isi-Uzo and other parts of Enugu State.
He further assured communities yet to benefit from the current phase of interventions that the transition to a new local government administration would not interrupt ongoing development projects.
“The new Local Government Chairman will soon take over, but do not think that that is the end of these projects. They will continue, and the communities who have not benefited today will still benefit soon,” Ossai stated.
He expressed appreciation to the people of Isi-Uzo for their consistent support, resilience and patience, acknowledging the challenges associated with governance while urging residents to remain engaged with their local government administration.
Ossai also expressed confidence in the incoming administration of the Local Government Chairman, urging the people to extend their support to him to sustain the development trajectory established under the outgoing Chairman, Hon. Obiora Obeagu.
He encouraged residents to remain focused on development and resist distractions, particularly as political activities intensify, emphasising that constructive engagement between government and citizens remains essential to effective governance.
The commissioning of the electrification project and the ultra-modern secretariat underscores the Mbah administration’s commitment to strengthening grassroots governance, expanding infrastructure and ensuring that the benefits of development reach communities across Enugu State.
